Food Box Donation – Four Seasons Produce & Blessings of Hope
To those in our communities – we know that many have been impacted by the pandemic and the shutdown. There were many food insecure individuals before COVID-19 and now there are even more families feeling a financial pinch. That’s why we’re increasing donations to local causes to help people, including: produce for the weekly Ephrata and Cocalico school districts’ free lunch pickup programs, produce for two support-service group homes in Lancaster weekly, produce for bagged lunches for those in need run by the Stevens Fire company, produce for grab & go lunches for first responders and staff at Wellspan (Ephrata Hospital, Phil Haven, Good Samaritan Hospital of Lebanon), fruit for a Denver-Ephrata Rotary Club run Truckers drive-through breakfast, and ongoing donations of extra food to area food banks.
And on Tuesday April 21, 2020 Four Seasons Produce partnered with Blessings of Hope food bank to sponsor and give away Free Food Boxes at our facility in Ephrata via a drive-through pickup. Members of the community preregistered for a box and any extra boxes were given away at the end of the event to those that missed the registration. Four Seasons Produce donated 35,000 of fresh produce for the boxes that were also packed with milk and other groceries. 2,200 boxes were given away by the 90 Four Seasons Family of Companies volunteers on site that evening.
We’re all in this together and will get through it together.
